"I called and tech showed up within 2hrs which was very good, i asked twice and advised call out charge was $99. no issue. I explained to the tech the issue on arrival - outside condenser fan not turning. Issue was detected as open circuit wire between inside unit and outside condenser. I advised Gareth there was unused wires in that line - he unscrewed the wire nuts at the splice in the house and attached the two other wires - one minute taken to do this. once this was done the condenser worked. this was after 50mins from arrival. I asked what charge is any this was above the call out charge he advise $509. for 50mins.. he had entered numerous codes in Donelson system were incorrect - repaired control wires etc all costing hundreds of dollars - but not time or repair of the wire done.. at finding the open circuit Gareth was ready to end the visit however i suggested to switch the wires and got the issue fixed not the Donelson tech.. if i had know you were going to charge me $400 for unscrewing a wire nut i would have done it and paid the call out charge and hourly labor rate - I understand $120 approx.. as a home owner lack of transparency up front was disturbing on what would be charged and what as a customer came across as predatory opportunistic billing practices. $509 for 50mins visit to find a problem is absolutely unacceptable. we have spent over !5,000 with Donelson Air the past two years on new units and were planning to replace two more with you, after this we have serious reservations, Donelson you need to repair your reputation and Trust from this customer."

"Well the technician serviced 4 units. 3 were fine afterwards. The one that services master bedroom - noticed it was humid in bedroom remainder of day and overnight. Went out to check unit following day and found that entire of side of A/C unit was left laying in the grass with the coils and ductwork exposed, allowing humid air to pour into house all night long. The side of the unit is quite large - it seems like a difficult thing to "forget" to replace, especially since screws were left lying neatly in a row on top of unit, and the piece that was not replaced was plainly visible in grass. While I was able to fix this myself, it was irritating to find that the job was not actually completed. Furthermore, in each of the last 3 "tune up" visits, something has been done incorrectly. Once, the tech forgot to turn the gas back on to the machine, so it would blow air but not heat. Once the tech re-installed the fan backwards so it would not blow air. In both cases I had to take ANOTHER day off work to have repaired jobs that were screwed up by your technicians. So....it would be nice if the tuneups were actually done correctly so that the units are left in working order."

"Work done by technician was great. Unfortunately, you had NO RECORD of a scheduled appointment I have made with you previously. I have a record of the phone call I made (date and time and length of call) and I clearly called and was clearly told I had an appointment. On the morning of the call, I call you to see when the person was coming and was told you had no record of my appointment. You need to figure out what happened and how your system failed me. It's probably not the only time something like this has happened. I've done business with you for many years and have bought 3 complete units from you at two of my residences. I like getting the SAME TECH each time and you've usually obliged me on that issue. There's another issue to discuss about why it was necessary for a technician to be called out to my house at this time. I believe a problem (likely of your installation of my unit) should have been recognized in April on my six month visit, BUT, since you didn't allow your tech to come inside my house and inspect my unit, the entire "cooling system" couldn't be validated. Then when it got really hot out, I spent a lot of money of power to try and keep my upper floor cook with little success, even adding a fan up there to help out. THE UNIT WAS LEAKING COLD AIR UPSTAIRS IN MY ATTIC>your person would have found that IF they had been inside my house in April. I've had $180 power bills and then the bill for the Emergency Visit by your tech last week as a result."

He complained about being sent out so late and clearly did not want to do the job. After being rude and having an attitude, Steve left without servicing anything. I called again to See if they could send someone else out. I was told they would send someone out. No one came. I called back later to see if they were still coming. I spoke to the manger, I do not remember his name. He was also rude, and accused my roommate of being hostile, aggressive, and confrontational. He said he didnt feel safe sending Steve out again, and the other tech was busy so they wouldnt send anyone out after I had been waiting several hours. He scheduled someone to come out the following day between 4-6. I got a call at 4 saying they wouldnt be at my house until closer to 8 but I would receive a call when they were on the way. I didnt receive a call again, but thankfully I was home. Brennan was the tech that came out. He was fairly professional and fixed the issue very quickly. He was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I am extremely dissatisfied with the customer service and with Steve being so incredibly rude. The customer service people I talked to on the phone (not including the manager) were all very nice and professional."

Waited all day Monday for a tech call (finally came at 4:30 pm), got another call from the office at 6:50 stating that tech would arrive within 30-40 minutes. 2 hours later, when no one had arrived, we called the tech back to learn that he wouldn't arrive until the next morning. Overall, very satisfied with Chuck & his service. Highly disappointed with the multiple persons taking phone calls & making false promises & passing the buck."

"4-11-20 My three units were due for their checkup. My large unit which has all the parts outside was scheduled for a tune up. Both a techician and salesman came. They said I had a leak. I had not noticed any performance issues and generally wait unit the unit is no longer performing. They eventually sold me a new unit with a service contract for $150/month. I felt pushed to do the deal. The new unit is installed and I have never seen any documentation from the transaction and have not been billed. 5-28-20 One of my smaller unit stops cooling. Once again the technician and a salesman show up. I mention that I bought a unit a few weeks earlier and I'm a little distrustful of the policy. This unit has a leak. I have just purchased an expensive unit and am not prepared to do it again. They propose a leak check for $500, I said ok. Within 5 minutes they identify the leak and charge me $500. "We have had several problems with our thermostat losing power over the last week. We have had several techs, including the tech manager, here to look at the unit and no one could find an answer, even after my electrician came and replaced my breaker for the HVAC. We determined that the problem was likely the thermostat itself. When Sarah got here today to replace it, the new one didn't work either. She went upstairs to look at the air handler, she very quickly located the problem. An inline float switch was tripped in the drain line. She went outside, vacuumed out the drain line and located the problem. A large insect had somehow gotten into the drain line and clogged it up. The problem has been resolved, and the A/C is working wonderfully now. She was a total rockstar for locating what the others couldn't. She was very professional and I would love for her to get the recognition she deserves for a job VERY WELL done."
